“A Bridge to Recovery for Mental Breakdowns and Mental Disorders” show is an important one. It was actually inspired by one of my listeners out in Arizona.
She had listened to one of my latest shows on Mental Fatigue and the impact and toll that this year has and is taking on the mental health of so many people. She thanked me for that show and said her son was 33 years old and he had suffered from depression, anxiety, and an eating disorder and on January 18th, he committed suicide. Also talked about how the mental health care in Arizona was difficult to access and the need is great. My heart and prayers go out to her and her family and all the other families that have and are experiencing similar stories.
A BRIDGE TO RECOVERY
This really inspired me to want to do this type of show today, to continue the conversation around the mental health crisis we are currently facing in America and share with my listeners and community resources that you can access today if you or someone you know is in need of or is seeking the support of mental health professional.
Mental health has been a crisis. Covid has just exposed and brought more attention to a topic that has deserved attention all along. My goal and hope are to really begin to normalize this conversation around mental health. It’s long overdue.
RECOGNIZE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL FITNESS
That, it’s not about IF life happens but WHEN life happens we have to recognize that IN ALL THINGS our MENTAL HEALTH and MENTAL FITNESS will be tested.
Right now for our NATION, the MACRO CRISIS is the Pandemic. I want to use my time to not focus so much on COVID, but I want to use the symbolism of COVID to bring to attention the reasons why. No matter who we are, we need to make taking care of ourselves and our mental health a priority because that is what we are going to have to rely on when the weight of the world gets a little heavier.
