Using Biofeedback and Neurofeedback to Access the Zone Mentality

Have you ever thought about the value of feedback? Biofeedback and Neurofeedback to access the zone can be beneficial for your performance. You may not like hearing it, but, whether it’s good or bad, genuine feedback is beneficial. It gives you useful information that you may not otherwise be able to ascertain. It’s also a change agent. Feedback gives you the opportunity to do better. Without feedback, it’s hard to know what’s working and what’s not. Even if you’re the most self-aware person, you may have no idea what kinds of adjustments you need to make for the best-finished product if you aren’t getting feedback.

Being in the Zone

At least once in your life, you’ve probably experienced the feeling of being “in the zone.” Maybe you felt this way in a sport or in your business, in your personal life, or a creative pursuit. Think of a time when you were laser-focused on achieving your end-goal and then crossed the finish line – you were in the zone.

Replicating Your “Zone” Mentality

Wouldn’t it be cool if you could get feedback on how your brain and body were behaving in those situations and use that information to optimize your future performance? You probably know some of what you had to do to achieve those goals, such as all the workouts and diet plans you followed that resulted in a fitness achievement. But there’s always more to it than that. Don’t you wish you could replicate the mindset that led to your accomplishments? What if you could see what your brain looks like when you’re in that focused, zone state and train your brain to get there more often?

The Benefits of Feedback

Solutions like this do exist! Thanks to technology and science-based services like biofeedback and neurofeedback, you can gain insight into how your brain and body are performing. If you want to replicate a calm, meditative state of mind for better sleep or creativity, feedback will also help you. Getting feedback about where you are is simple, but it makes a huge impact. Biofeedback and neurofeedback can improve many areas of your life, including:

•    Focus

•    Mood

•    Sleep

•    Creativity

•    Intelligence

Biofeedback

Biofeedback is feedback specifically derived from the body. It affects things like your muscles, heart rate variability, and body temperature. All of these functions are extremely important to understand when trying to optimize your performance. Learning to control involuntary bodily functions and triggers can lead to heightened awareness and positive emotional outcomes.

Neurofeedback

On the other hand, neurofeedback is feedback from your brain. It affects your mood, memory, attention span, and processing abilities. When you have more control over these areas, you can more easily get “in the zone.”

If you want to experience what one or both of these feedback solutions can do for you, stop by one of our two North Carolina locations, New Mentality PC or Mental Edge Fitness Solutions.
